Little is known of the man who would one day become the Joker, but it is rumored that he was once a failed stage comedian who had come upon hard times. What is known however, is that he became involved with a gang of thieves operating under the leadership of a mysterious urban legend known as the Red Hood. In truth, the Red Hood was actually several individuals, all of whom would take the point on daring thefts while wearing a solid crimson helmet to disguise their features. The Red Hood gang blackmailed this nameless comedian into donning the red helmet and conducting a robbery. The gang's intended escape route led them through the Ace Chemical Plant.

On the night of the robbery, the neophyte vigilante known as the Batman learned of the gang's plan and intercepted them at the chemical plant. While trying to escape, the Red Hood fell from a catwalk into a vat of deadly chemicals. He managed to survive, but exposure to the chemicals turned his hair green, and his skin chalk white. It also drove him irrevocably insane. Abandoning his Red Hood identity, the man took to calling himself the Joker.

Seven large, white trucks, all sporting the A.C.E. Chemical logo, crossed the bridge to A.C.E. Chemical plant, passing through the retracting gate. A security guard stood in the road ahead and gestured for them to stop. He stepped up to the window or the truck and knocked on the glass. The window rolled down showing the pale faced man wearing a trucker hat.

"G'day mate!" He said with a fake Australian accent before jamming the sharpened edge of a boomerang in his head. He cackled maniacally and drove forward, all seven trucks disappearing inside the plant. Out of the back of five trucks, dozens of men and women sporting Clownz gang attire filed out and opened up the back of the remaining two, both of which were filled to the brim with weapons. "Load up, guys! And show no mercy!" He shouted. And within minutes of being armed, gunshots rang down the hallway as the Clownz began their onslaught. Cain made his way to the security office with two others, kicking down the door and blowing the heads off two guards with a shotgun. He cackled again as he flopped onto a swivel chair and spun around. He slammed the big red LOCKDOWN button, sealing the plant off from the mainland by withdrawing the bridge.

9:00 P.M.

Barely an hour passed since the take over of A.C.E chemicals by the Clownz Gang, the bridge were closed, and police were already on the opposite side of the bridge, lights flaring into the air as helicopters roared overhead of the plant. Distant gunshots echoed from within while above, a very fast and currently stealthed high tech plane roared above, taking aerial reconnaissance of the entire plant, inside, Batwoman sat within, the plane slowing down to get a better read on the area, multiple hostiles, spread about the plantation. It wouldn't be simple, but when was it ever simple.

"Oracle, this is Batwoman. Need to get a read on the A.C.E chemicals security systems, that bridge needs to be lowered within the next fifteen minutes." She'd say, hitting a few more buttons on her computer, setting the plane to head back to the Bat cave within the next few seconds, before launching herself out of the bottom of the craft and soon after the plane spinning around and boasting off back the way she came. Soon, Batwoman did one full spin before going straight down, her cloak around her to disguise her presence and before reaching ground level, extending her cloak to glide outward as she set herself down on one of the towers, slowly rising up.

"In position." She'd say once again, activating her thermal mode in her cowl to look outward into the plantation, her thoughts idly on the previous night for a few moments before refocusing. "Engaging threat..." And soon after, she dived downward, slipping off the side and hanging upside down as a sniper came across her position below, giving an all clear before suddenly being snatched up by Batwoman and hoisted above, forced to hang upside down from an extreme height before getting knocked unconcious from rapid altitude shifts. Soon, Batwoman disappeared again, taking out two more thugs at the ground level near some containers in rapid succession before quickly moving again, storing them in the dark corners as she swept throughout the corner of the plantation she was in, silently and quickly taking out threat after threat, timing it with their radio all clear messages to give her more time and keep the thugs off balance, while steadily losing more and more men.

From one the sniper positions a red dot trailed across the ground in front of the squad cars.

~Krzzt~ "Looks like the pigs have backed off. Somethin's goin' on. Chuckles, whatchu got?"

~Krzzt~ "Chuckles, you there?" The thug repeated before looking over to the other vantage point. He looked for the other man through the scope but found nothing. "Ah shit." He switched channels quickly and frantically looked around.

~Krzzt~ "Hey, somethin' got Chuckles. We got trouble. Whatchu think, pigs sniped him?"

In the control room, Cain and two thugs were watching the cameras and listening to the report. "Next course of action, Cain?" Asked a woman with blue hair and green tips, clown makeup, and a Harley-esque outift.

"Watch the cameras and have the gang set the motion detectors up. If she trips one, the whole place lights up like Christmas. Can't hide in the dark when there's no dark. I'll set my own traps for her." Cain ordered with a smile.

"Uh, her?" Asked a pink haired man in a plastic clown mask and prison jumper.

"Yeah, her. Who else would it be? She's exactly like the old one. Same old tricks, same M.O." He added. "Ol' Batsy is here to play."

"Batwoman. Got some feedback for you on the readings, they got several security systems being set up, from the scans it looks like motion detectors set to a failsafe based on the readings and tracing. You trigger any of those the whole place lights up, be careful." Came Oracles quip after Batwoman finished slamming one of the thugs to the ground, punching him in the back of the head and frowning slightly.

So they wanted to put her in artificial daylight, clever, it helped having Oracle back in action for this one, this threat was becoming steadily more and more annoying, she'd need to tred caution. On her wrist mounted computer, she received the scans of several figures moving about, setting up devices, where she pinned each placement. Easy to avoid when you can see them place them.

Soon enough she took to the air again, taking down sniper after sniper, they'd need to be dealt with firstly to ensure her flanks were covered, and from an aerial view she took another look around, peering straight at where the Clownz likely set up shop, the control room, it made sense, controlling the entire facility and issuing orders. She needed to thin the herd, so to speak. Moving quickly and quietly, she darted around the motion detectors in careful, precise, deliberate movements, taking down more thugs as she came around the corner, the thugs thinking she'd do the clear path forward to hit the trap only for her to come up behind, then the thug getting grappled backward and knocked unconcious. More and more thugs began to get dropped utilizing this strategy, stealth-fully maneuvering the facility as she took down more of the Clownz, there was a lot of them, a bold move to take over the facility, which did slow her down, but it was better to be precise and slow, than fast and careless.

Cain watched the screens with disapproval. He watched as his people disappeared into the dark, and his quarry avoided his traps with ease. His brow furrowed and he grew frustrated. Through gritted teeth he muttered, "I want everyone to activate their heart monitors. If you go down, I'll hear it. I'm setting up the signal jammers myself. I don't trust you idiots to do it yourselves." Cain grabbed a device from the table and left the room, slamming the door behind him. He entered the large chemical treatment room, reinforced with three foot thick steel walls in case of emergency, the most protected room and simultaneously the most dangerous. Below the catwalk were massive vats of various substances for neutralization. Around the room were four military grade signal jammers, to which Cain linked each to the device in his hand. If Batwoman wanted him, she was going to fight the old fashioned way. Of course, this wasn't his only trap. All around in the dark room were various trip wires and mines connected to confetti cannons and noisemakers. He began to cackle as he flopped onto a swivel chair and spun around. "Almost party time! Let's hope lil' Strokey found her way in before Batsy."
