I have frequented another site for about 20 years. It is also primarily erotic story/lit based and I am primarily visually oriented. Yes, I have been on Deviantart (which is FAR from "deviant"). Anyway, I got a tip about this site and thought I'd at least give it a go. The other site just doesn't get much response on the visuals (beyond amateur photos and linked porn).

THANKS, Lo DeBale! for giving the tip on how to use the "spoiler" button to protect those who may be "at work". ...hahahhahhahha — supposed to be working, or those who are into less explicit imagery

I've found that there really isn't much interest, interaction here. Being, primarily, a role playing/writing site, I'm not too surprised. In addition, it seems that my preferences may be in the minority here. Capped off with sluggish/buggy site.
So I'm gonna "throw in the towel" on this experiment.

haremfaery said to let you know she encourages people to enjoy your artwork. I have to agree you art is interesting to look at. All nicely done. Look forward to seeing what you post next.

Thank you! :)
So, she twisted your arm, eh? heh heh
I am always amused by the descriptor — "interesting", often times it is used as a way of saying "ACK! that's awful!, but I can't say that!" LOL. Like being served burnt brussels sprouts ice cream by the mother of your new date.

"So, how do you like it?"

"
mmmmrrmph... it's very interesting!" *forced smile and swallow*

heeeeheeee

Many years ago, working in a design studio, I decided to spruce up my cubical with some smallish framed pieces I had drawn. A co-designer stopped by later that day and noticed them and she responded, "Nice frames!"

ouch. LOL

So I hit a double whammy as I used interesting and nice! I do apologize as I meant hmm? Well done, artistically pleasing to the eye? :devilish::unsure:. I liked your artwork. I can't say beautiful because they are sort of raw and expressive. The lines are a bit rough but that is the style, the symmetry is very good though. So not being a very educated fella I had said interesting because like did not sound strong enough and love seemed too strong. I enjoyed looking at them, if that helps?:censored:(y)

Thanks to MacCloud for checking in and giving responses. It is odd to be a tree falling in the woods with no one around.
There are only 2 other art threads here that are not locked. Perhaps with time this corner of FD will become more robust, vital, lively, engaging...

I find it interesting: On a site catering to writers, that there is so little written response. I have noted, elsewhere, that the excuse is — "I don't know anything about art, or the 'language' of art". PFFFFT!, says I. If one can write, and write creatively, one should be able to discuss anything.

I also understand, that this art section is somewhat buried and that the functionality of the site is funky/sporadic, which impedes visitation, let alone discussion.

I also get that the site is primarily devoted to writing (specifically role play), so folk are not coming here looking to be visually entertained. On top of that, we all have our preferences — fetishes, kinks, genres, styles, so what I present may appeal to only a few or even none! :( (momma said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.") Perhaps one can voice their "not nice" views in a nice/courteous way? eg, "I like the passion of this one, but I'm gay, so it doesn't 'turn me on'." or whatever.

Just thought I'd give your drawings some love.

Your post of 2/3/21 I can't open the first pic Fuck a Fury A :(

I also can't see Sultan's Dance, same date.

Can't open 2/4 Must have it.
I'm familiar with contour drawing. I've actually found that I draw better with this technique because I can't see what I'm doing till it's done. I'm no artist at all. I think especially because I like realistic art and mine is far from it. Stick figures are more my speed. But I can write and I can dance, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

hmmm... thanks for the heads up. I have no idea why they are not functioning. I had tested all of them after I had posted.
I've noted glitches like that on other folks' threads.

It's weird because I could see one of them early one after you first posted it, but when I clicked this time I couldn't see it. *sigh*

And I can't see the werewolf, but thanks for showing it to me earlier.

And and--I unwatched and rewatched and now it looks like I'm getting notifications about posts here.

Some of the times when it appears there is a broken image link, I can refresh the page and it will magically be back.

I question the futility of this endeavor (me posting images here), with an audience of 2 or 3 and even less conversation.

I can send you images elsewhere should you wish to see. If the bugs of the site get worked out, I would expect that the role play will flourish and subsequently the art section might begin to get a bit of traction.
