So here is the list again of each disorder, the description, and who has claimed them.

The Disorders

Note: As per the plot, many people just suddenly started getting disorders without any real reason for why. So your character might have had this their whole life, or it might have recently suddenly came on for no explained reason.

Multiple Personality Disorder: - [Claimed: anPan (Phoenix)]
Multiple Personality Disorder (Dissociative identity disorder) is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct or split identities or personality states that continually have power over the person's behavior. These split identities do not share their memory of events. Different identities have their own age (18+), sex, or race. Each has his or her own personalities as if they were different people.

Paranoid Schizophrenia: - [ Claimed: ImmortalWriter (Caroline) ]
Schizophrenia is a kind of psychosis, which means your mind doesn't agree with reality. It affects how you think and behave. This can show up in different ways and at different times, even in the same person. Delusions are fixed beliefs that seem real to you, even when there's strong evidence they aren't. Paranoid delusions, also called delusions of persecution, reflect profound fear and anxiety along with the loss of the ability to tell what's real and what's not real. This character will frequently hear things nobody else does, and will see things moving that otherwise can not move.

Catatonic Schizophrenia: - [ Open to claim ]
Catatonic Schizophrenia. The predominant clinical features seen in the catatonic sub type of schizophrenia involve disturbances in a person's movement. Affected people may exhibit a dramatic reduction in activity, to the point that voluntary movement stops, as in catatonic stupor. The person with this disorder will occasionally be caught Staying still, not moving or speaking. They will sometimes be slow to act, may not remember anything that happened while frozen, will have hallucinations when frozen.

Impulse Control Disorder: - [ Claimed: Viante (Elladine) ]
Psychiatric disorder characterized by impulsiveness, failure to resist temptation, an urge, an impulse, or the inability to not speak on a thought.

Anxiety Disorder: - [Claimed: Sky Reed (Zeke)]
Examples of anxiety disorders include panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Symptoms include stress that's out of proportion to the impact of the event, inability to set aside a worry, and restlessness. As an introvert, she often seeks to be alone when the anxiety gets bad so she may hide within herself until it passes.

Acrophobia: - [ Open to claim ]
Intense and crippling fear of heights. Being more than fifteen feet off the ground causes the person to panic and become unable to function. This person needs to stay firmly planted on the ground, avoid stairs, and needs to stay away from windows on the upper floors of the asylum. However the asylum does have an elevator, so they can make it to the upper floors if they so desire.

Hypochondria: - [claimed: Viante (Sybil)]
Symptoms include a long-term and intense fear of having a serious condition and worry that minor symptoms indicate something serious. A person may frequently visit or switch doctors. This person is excessively concerned that every little cut and scrape on themselves or someone else is much more serious than it actually is. They are also very concerned about everyone else's mental states, thinking their disorders are worse than they are.

Dissociative disorder: - [Claimed: Rainebowsplash (Joshua)]
The inability to identify yourself within your own body. You feel like you're not you, there's a disconnect between your mind and your body that makes you feel like your body isn't yours. You have had out-of-body experiences where you've met and spoken to yourself before.

Agoraphobia: - [ Open to claim ]
Fear of going outside. The character experiences an intense fear when trying to, or thinking of, going outside. The outside world is just... It's trying to get you, you're safe and happy inside the building where the things that lurk outside can't bother you, although they may avoid standing near open windows.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder: - [ Claimed Zato (Maximillian Kane]
A mental illness involving obsessive focus on a perceived flaw in appearance leading to the character being extremely obsessed with their self-image and how their body looks. The flaw may be minor or imagined. But the person may obsess over trying to fix or hide it.
