Stranger had been helping to put out the fires as best as she could though without the necessary tech she didn't have many options. She knew she'd have to handle it later when she got the time to make something, but for now she was doing the best she could and checking on people personally to make sure they were alright and felt safe. It seemed the situation was under control or the most part they just needed to put out the rest of the fire.

However, her attention was drawn the moment the woman in red attacked the young blue lantern, spewing corrosive blood at him though he seemed at least able to shield himself. She looked to the civilians, officers, and firemen "Clear the area!" she called as she seemed to instantly zoom her way over to the two and placed herself between them "Stop! There are civilians in the area!" of course she was also doing this to protect Wren. She knew what a red lantern was, and she knew how dangerous they were but they weren't unreasonable. They also weren't evil to her knowledge just....angry.

She had no idea what this woman's problem was, but having a fight between two lantern in a populated area would not result in anything short of disaster.

Verannia's rage was unnatural, a byproduct of the ring's effect on her own anger. Enhanced a thousand times by the crystalized blood that wrapped itself around her ring finger, she was inconsolable. She was angry at everything and everyone, and she was going to make it known. Creating a massive red light hand, she grabbed a portion of the burning building and threw it in the direction of the armored person. "Fuck civilians!" She growled. She used that same fist to slam the ground, creating a shockwave to push anything nearby back a few feet. She tore a chunk of the road out and hoisted it above her head, prepared to hit anyone that charged her.

Clear out? Right, right... they didn't need anyone else involved in the scuffle, did they? Still, in spite of anything, Wren blinked in curiosity at the large hand produced of the woman's own ring... enough, apparently, to tear a chunk off the, albeit damaged, building. Something to make himself, then... well, a barrier, first and foremost, of translucent blue, between Stranger and the chunk that had been torn and now flung from the building. It might not have stopped it entirely, but at the very least, it could slow that chunk of building down.

The shockwave that followed, however, he couldn't really do anything about, but to shield himself a little with his arms from the mild impact.

Hope, hope... what were these people hoping for, then? Vaguely, someone tall, built reasonably well... with a well-defined 'S' on their chest. That 'Superman' Stranger had mentioned? Well... it was as good as anything to produce from his ring; even if the visage was slightly flickering and distorted, it was still more solid than the barrier he'd produced just earlier. "'Superman', ya said... huh? Heh... I guess I'll just go with that for long's I can," he suggested. Probably not terribly long, he mused; there was still some hope around, particularly in him, but there would only be so much before he burned his ring out. With that, he directed his ring-created visage to swoop up and strike out at the chunk of pavement being held above Verannia's head; still not likely near enough to destroy it, but if he could at least dent it, it would be a start.

Stranger shook her head but seemed to not be bothered by the chick of building that had been flung at her. She was a little surprised at the blue barrier the man had created and for the bit that passed the armored woman merely pulled back her fist and swung easily breaking apart what came near "Don't let her rage, if it gets too out of hand someone else might get hurt." she said though she was hit by the shockwave it was clear not that dangerous.

Wren had an idea though and seemed to conjure up an image of Superman. She chuckled "Nicely done." and watched the lantern send it to try and break the chuck of pavement above the lanterns heard. Stranger didn't wait and rushed forward at great speed in an attempt to tackle Verannia in a hope to use her great strength and speed and take her someplace where there weren't civillians. Stranger was aiming towards the park not too far from the. It was generally empty so if this lantern wanted a fight then she wouldn't hurt anyone there until they managed to calm her down.

Verannia recognized the blue mirage of Superman, which only seemed to infuriate her more. "You were never there when I needed you!" She shrieked to the construct before directing the mass of tar and stone toward it. "All of you heroes are worthless! When the defenseless need you, you're nowhere to be found!" She roared and sent a shockwave of rage energy in each direction. However she found herself grabbed by the armored person. Verannia slammed her fists against the metal skin, growling and practically foaming at the mouth.

What was she saying? No, never mind that... he needed to do... something. There was something he was supposed to do about this... right?

Never mind that people were running off, even getting tripped up some by the shockwaves... though, so far as he could tell, they weren't hurt too much by them. Glancing off between them, and Stranger now forcing Verannia away from the scene for the moment, Wren briefly muttered to himself before starting to fly off after them, the pure blue visage of Superman fading meanwhile from existence now that he was moving away from the people that had, in effect, created that visage for his ring to use. This... red-suited woman -- this Red Lantern, he could only suppose -- was... trouble? Was she in trouble? Going by her words, he... couldn't really tell. Though he couldn't have her hurting people, at the very least...

"Wait, wait!" the Blue Lantern himself called out after the two. "I'm, well... I dunno anything really about being a hero, but we helped those folks, right? Or are ya talking about something else?" he asked. Well... he didn't know much in general, really... but he at least knew he was supposed to spread hope, somehow or other, so he couldn't just do nothing about that sort of statement, could he?

Ah, the peaceful bliss of a workout. Always does a wonder to just relax a bit. Getting up and coming back to reality, Tyus was about to begin another run, probably get some food on the way. That was the plan, until there was quite a disturbance going on just about yonder from where he was. “That... Didn’t sound like a regular car crash. I’ll just go and see what’s up and if the people are okay.” He said to himself, hoping from rooftop to rooftop.

As he arrived on the scene to get a better look, he sees three people who are in battle it seems. “Wait... Are those...” He noticed the insignia of the lanterns. He heard of them, but only knows the green one. “Didn’t know there were other colors. Huh, learn something new. So, which one is the good guy?” He says as he watched from up top. Though the menacing red one was giving him clear sign that maybe the red one is not in the right state of mind.

He hopped down from where he was and deciding to play it safe and stand by until he got the full situation. Because there’s another lantern there, but that isn’t green either and he wasn’t attacking. Was this some kind of Lantern Association? He didn’t know much of any of these guys, but just watched the two actually fighting each other.

Stranger kept a good grip on the Red Lantern as she flew at high speed towards the park. It took her almost no time to get there even with the Red Lantern beating at her armor and screaming about how they or rather...Superman was never there when she needed them. She was speaking nonsense, giving into her bloodlust. She must have been hurt, or lost something in a crisis and the heroes hadn't managed to save her....but they weren't able to save anyone anymore. Once they got to the park she roughly moved to the ground but did not release her especially as Wren spoke.

Stranger nodded her head "That is correct." she said finally letting her go "You're hurt I understand, but we are not your enemies." she sad trying to reason with the woman enough to maybe calm her down "The man you were screaming at is gone. He has been for some time." she said referring to the image of Superman Wren created just a little bit ago "We were helping, like she said." hoping to help create a bit of hope. She knew that the rings tapped into the spectrum and by rumor it could help stop a red lantern and that was the best way right now without Stranger having to take her down. She didn't want to do that. He wouldn't.

Stranger did get ready to be attacked again "Let us help you too."

Verannia could feel that her ring was starving, that her own rage wasn't enough to satisfy the ring. To make matters worse, the strongest emotion to draw from was fear, and she lacked a ring of the Sinestro Corps. "You can fool these idiots, but I see right through you. A weak willed blue lantern and another rich kid with fancy toys. There's no heroes, there never were." She seethed. Her insane gaze was now focused entirely on the metal man. "And Verannia will show all that there is no such thing as a super hero." She grunted as she freed herself from the person's grasp. Her ring glowed brighter and brighter as a drop of blood ran from her tear ducts, letting out a furious roar. She unleashed a blast of red light from her ring, directed in a cone at the metal man. "With blood and rage of crimson red, Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead, Together with our hellish hate, We'll burn you all--that is your fate!"

Weak-willed? Him? Well... alright, maybe. Probably. If in no small part because he was... out of his element, to say the least. Things were simple back home; folks said what they meant, his day-to-day was nothing particularly unique any given day, but it was life, and it was fun enough. Here, though?

Well, he had a lot to figure out. At the least, though, he was going to protect others, so long as it was within his power.

To such an end, Wren's ring quickly flared to life around when Verannia's did, a line of blue shooting from it before it spread into a barrier; not the strongest, still, and likely not enough to fully stop the red ring's blast, but for what the fledgling Blue Lantern could manage, it was something.

"Oof... well, mm... if ya want this 'super hero' so much, why can't you be one? Ya seem pretty strong!" the fox called out, his normal, cheerful grin on his face. Well... it seemed simple enough to him, at least, unfortunate it was that he didn't yet get that that just... wasn't how things worked, really. Yet, at the same time, it was something he could do, in a sense, his ring starting to form another apparition, of a sort... though this one female, with perhaps strikingly similar long hair, even if the image in general was... incomplete, thanks to his pure inexperience.

Rich kid with fancy toys huh? She wished she had those, but all she had was her suit, her body, and her experience. She figured that would be enough "I think you have me confused for a bat. This is Metropolis." she said slipping through with some humor despite the situation. It was a good way to keep herself centered, the Legion often engaged in it. She used to crack jokes with the other members in the middle of battle to keep their hearts steady. Her grip was broken forcing Stranger to move back as that furious gaze settled on her. It didn't startle of worry Stranger, she had faced danger plenty of times and the Red Lantern was not going to shake her.

"Verannia huh?" she got got ready for the blast, but the Blue lantern came in for the defense once again though his constructs were still too weak to fully stop the blast, but weakened it making it even easier for the woman's already fairly energy resistant suit to stand up to the attack. Wren was trying trying to break through to her, but she doubted it would work unless they worked her down a little. Stranger could see what he was attempting but it didn't look....complete.

"Steady your mind Wren. Focus. Make an image in your mind first and then try to bring it to life." before she leaned forward and soon a large purple beam of energy fired violently from her visor, aiming to slam right into Verannia, and unlike the lantern she wasn't weakened, but she was tempering herself still. Enough power to hurt, but not soo much that its put anyone else in danger. "Lets see if we can't settle you down!" the armored woman actually ready for battle.

The fox-man's actions and words only seemed to make her more angry as her ring grew brighter again. "Become a hero? How dumb are you? What people call heroes only create villains. Every hero has caused someone such grief that they become bitter and resentful toward the world. Heroes created me! And the fact that you would insult me like this shows how little you know about my people! So you can leave, or die!!" She shouted these last words as she conjured a red light monster, a recreation of Doomsday to combat the Blue Lantern. The construct, however, faded the instant her concentration was broken by the purple blast. Her attention back onto the armored one, she created a red light blade from each hand and charged at them, blades swinging haphazardly.

Make an image... a bit easier said than done, perhaps, considering how much was flitting through Wren's mind even at that moment. Clear enough, though, something wasn't working, since it was only serving to make Verannia even more upset. He was thankful, at least, that Stranger was still around, but could he really do so little himself? There had to be something, surely... if he could only manage to draw upon it...

Still... at the very least, incomplete as the visage was, he could still send it darting forward after the real Red Lantern, aiming to slip behind and grab her, if not at the greatest speed. "Sorry, not gonna do either! 'Least, not 'til ya tell me what I can do to help. If I'm gonna be making 'villains', like ya say... then I'm just gonna help them anyway. That's all," he offered. Well, he certainly wasn't going to give up just because someone told him to, anyway; and this was probably a person in need, in some sense, right? He had been, vaguely, told to do something about that...

She had to admit, she was fairly certain that without her here to run interference Verannia would have likely killed Wren. She tossed a glance over his way after she finally got the attention of the Red Lantern who came at her with fury. "Heroes cannot save everyone. We sometimes lose more than we save, and sometimes we lose completely but even still we try our best." she was like a beast. Stranger had to guess that Verannia hadn't turely been using the ring long given the uncontrollable rage, a flaw she had heart only afflicted the newer recruits.

Stranger kept her focus on her, dodging in and out of range where it mattered "Whatever happened to you I cannot fix. You are hurt, but that doesn't mean you have to give into that pain. You can be better Verannia." It wasn't hard to dodge the swipes until she saw a moment to slam her arms outward to force Verannia to strike wide as Stranger got face to helmet, crouching a little.

Stranger reared her arm back "But before that, its clear you need to take a moment to breath!" she said and slammed her fist upward in hopes to hit the woman and launch her upward. She knew they could fly, but Stranger was putting strength into the uppercut to disorient her. If it worked she'd be going up an bit and land in the little manmade lake in the middle of the Burough's park.

As helpful as the two may have attempted, the ring itself had other plans. 'Ignore them... Kill the lantern! Spill his hopeful blood!' It called to her within her mind. But the blue light construct had ensnared her only moments before the powerful uppercut, leaving her grounded. Her bones made a loud 'Krak!' as her jaw was broken, knocking her unconscious. The ring glowed brightly and shook on her finger, almost as if it were enraged itself. A protective aura surrounded Verannia as the ring hoisted her into the air by the arm and she fled upward. Her destination, Ysmault.

With his ears especially, Wren heard the sound of breaking bones quite clearly... enough for him to jump slightly in surprise, the apparition he'd summoned flickering before disappearing entirely. Especially as Verannia started to fly off, he had the look of someone debating whether to pursue... but ultimately, bit his lip nervously and seemed to decide to stay where he was. He could perhaps have healed her at least a little, he mused, but he didn't know enough; not yet. Not about the ring, this place... anything, really.

"Mm... next time. Next time, I'll figure out what to do," the fox spoke up with a slight, mildly hopeful grin. Just as hopeful, in fact, that it would be far enough off that he'd have time in the meanwhile to figure something out. "Well, um... we were gonna get food after, right? 'Sides, I'm still curious what ya look like under that 'helmet' of yours; ya don't need it while there's nothing going on, do ya?" he curiously asked, turning his eyes back down to Stranger.

Poor timing, the seasoned hero was good enough to recognize that, and the crack of bones was familiar enough to her ears and her fingers to know what the strike wrought. She didn't appear to react for the time being, instead just getting prepared for another strike if the ring itself chose to fight but within moments Verannia was just a red streak, flying away. It'd be easy enough for her to follow, but she decided against it. She let her go figuring it was best to just attend to the damage instead. It wasn't worth the chase.

Stranger crossed their arms over the broad chest of their armor, looking back at Wren as he spoke up. He still seemed hopeful that he'd be ready the next time she appeared. However on the topic of food and seeing her face the armored figure only shook her head "I'll treat you to food, but I'm afraid I cannot show you my face.." she said rather bluntly, but she had two identities to protect and casting another illusion to hide these faces was tiresome. She wanted to keep power for the suit until she was able to get home.

She did know there were more eyes on them however "You're gonna have to do some training before she comes back, but not bad Lantern"

It was oddly not hard for Kassandra Verian to find the source of fighting as one could expect, it was the most power housed variety in Metropolis. The new Amazonian to take up the legendary mantle of Wonder Woman figured she could finally introduce herself, and so she did. Flying across the sky in short, measured jumps that involved her efficiently occasionally needing to kick off of things in order to keep up flight for an hour, before needing to push off of something again, for the time she was in flight, it was fast, but it was efficiently a fast glide.

Soon enough though, she made it to the scene of some kind of being taking off into the sky, before landing smoothly upon the ground, the skirts of her Amazonian styled armor, the golden heamed breastplate shining in the sunlight as her red cloak bellowed before coming to a halt behind her. Sword at her hip, and shield at her back, clearly hidden under her cloak, with the lasso of truth at her hip as-well near to her sword.

"Pardon my sudden drop in, aimed to get here sooner, was held up." She'd say, a confident smile on her face. "Kassandra Verian, suppose you can call me Wonder Woman though. Big shoes to fill, but this is my chosen duty by my people." She'd say, looking at those in front of her.

Seems like the battle ended. What a shame, he wanted to join in and test himself against somebody that seemed to have a grasp on their abilities. However, just when he was going to move forward, there was another coming in. It was an Amazon! That's strange, didn't think there was going to be a Wonder Woman coming in, but here she is low and behold. He shrugged, deciding now would be a good time to start introducing himself to the group. He does count as a hero, right? Who cares if he is new to this whole hero business. With his hands back in his pockets, he walked up to them.

He whistled, impressed by the fight that transcended before the Amazon came in, "Man, I didn't know there were some other super powered people here too. Here I thought there was nothing but burglars and stuff 'round these parts." Tyus said with a light chuckle, "Hey there, I am T-... Uh... Hmm... Karate Kid? Wait no... I'm not a kid though, stupid name. Uh... You know what, just call me Dragon Fist, yeah!" A lazy attempt to get a name. Might as well go with the teachings of the dragon, where he got his abilities from.

Beep! Stranger's radar notified her of the presence of another, approaching faster than any human and from an angel that suggested it was air-born. Stranger, for a moment, was worried that it was perhaps another red lantern here to avenge their defeated comrade as they were known to do causing the armor clad hero to unfold her arms and prepare for battle again if need be. She doubted Wren would be good for another fight even if the last one had no really tested their mettle, but even so she wasn't going to leave him to fight red lanterns especially not in a city she basically considered to be her own.

She turned to face the landing figure, but it was not accompanied by the red light or rage but rather....archaic armor befitting that of another well known figure. It took quite a lot of strength for the alien not to let out a yelp in surprise even before the Amazonian introduced herself. It was hard to mistake that projected strength coupled with the immense beauty for anything else but Wonder Woman. Not Diana prince, no this one called herself Kassandra Varian. Her way of speaking was more casual than Stranger would have imaged, but given the century of this place she guessed that was to be expected.

Poised to speak, but interrupted by yet another blip on her radar she paused as another approaching. Casual in his demeanor, but clearly far from an average citizen. Stranger relaxed and listened though the young man's mention of the Karate Kid name cause her to freeze just a little bit. It wasn't the Karate Kid she knew. He hadn't been born yet, and he was dead...time travel was a mess. He seemed to settle on Dragon Fist. A clear Newbie, but that meant little to her. They had all been there right? Wren was new, Wonder Woman was only technically new though she knew she was ready for battle as per her heritage.

Stranger was new to this time, though far from a new hero. How strange, it appeared today had seen fit to bring them together in some shape or form. Stranger couldn't help but worry that this was the scene before a possible attack, a gathering of heroes was rarely met without reprisal but she pushed that to the back of her mind.

The lights on her suit toned down, allowing everyone around her to see clear just what symbol laid upon her chest though of course she hardly had earned the recognition it brought, not in this time anyway "Hello!" a rather cheerful greeting though filtered through the robotic voice, sounding more male and masculine "I am Stranger. This is Blue Lantern Wren." she introduced herself and the flying fox next to her. She sounded friendly, welcoming, confident as someone like her should "I didn't think I'd be meeting any other heroes on this day but I can't say I'm complaining." she said "Its always good to know there are more out there willing to do whats right." she must have sounded a little corny.

"I suppose that battle with the Red Lantern caught your attentions." of course it would, how long had it been since something like that happened after Darkseid did what he did? "Welcome to Metropolis Kassandra. I am sorry we could give Wonder Woman a more expectant welcome." she said and looked to Dragon Fist "You seem like a native here." she figured she might as well paint herself as a cities own for the time being.

"I was just about to treat the young lantern here to a meal. He is new to the planet, would you like to join us?" she posted to everyone. Smooth.
