While the battle had raged, a shape had been slowly approaching the scene, an orange mass crawling through the debris as it followed the trail of destruction. A red light flashed through the sky and the mass looked up toward it. It continued to the origin of the light where it came upon a group of people. The orange mass slid past the feet of the group toward their center, where it compiled itself and grew upward. Slowly, it formed a humanoid shape, but remain a amorphous blob from the waist down, as well as the spine and skull forming in the upper body.

"Greetings. I assume you were as well drawn by mysterious red power?" The Ooze asked those around it. "I had hoped to investigate, but it seems as though I was much too late. Were any of you able to investigate the odd occurrence?"

Tyus was intrigued by the conversation going on, that and the amazing people all gathered in one place. It was honestly more than what he could handle at one moment. Also there is other lanterns too, which confirmed what he thought the other two were. Its crazy how the world expands when he is out in Metropolis. Not only that, there is this blob thingy that came out of nowhere. Talk about a freaky town, but then again this was the land that gave the world Superman.

"Oh uh... You mean the really angry looking person with the red power? Yeah, I came in to see what was up, but then the next thing I know I see two lanterns fighting. I didn't want to cut in because I didn't know what the situation was. Then after that, more people showed up and now we are here." Tyus said, giving his rundown of the whole situation from what he has seen. Which wasn't much since he was part of the background.

Kassandra gave a small bow of her head in acknowledgement to Stranger's talk, finding the being in front of her rather odd to say the least, but it wasn't the first odd sight she'd ever seen. Soon introductions were under way and she gave a nod to the both, and even the newest, Dragon Fist he decided to call himself? Merely giving a nod to the affirmation of the battle. "It did, yes. I thought I would have to intervene, but you handled yourselves well, as for a proper welcome, that is un-needed. As for a meal...hmm....I am-" Soon a new being put itself into the picture, it was vaguely familiar, one who sought to investigate the disturbance like herself.

"Indeed, greetings to you. I only just arrived myself, ready to intervene if it proved necessary. It seems the foe was not as powerful as I thought, or these heroes are quite talented." She'd say.

"A novice though I did suspect my companion would have had more-"

Stranger sensors displayed far more than three blips, a fourth approaching rather fast though she did not become hostile immediately. It seemed appropriate that this gathering of abilities would attract people, but had there really been this many active super-powered beings in Metropolis at the time? Stranger looked in the direction of the new blip and down at the floor as some manner of slime slid past their feet and began to form at the center. That was strange, she knew Metropolis had an odd assortment of creatures which tussled with the power houses here but this one didn't seem hostile and its coloration reminded her of-

"Professor!" the armored heroine yelped though it would sound odd with the disguise she was using for her voice. She would clear her voice. That couldn't be professor slime could it? Professor did always talk as though they were very ancient when teaching classes at the academy, especially with their great command of the knowledge....but she didn't think they were that old. It was hard to mistake that coloration, that vaguely feminine shape, and the near appearance of bones within that gelatinous form. It seemed here the Professor did not know as much as it would.

Stranger cleared her throat "Red Lantern." she started moving past her little outburst. She looked in the direction the poor woman flew ignoring the crowd that also seemed to be gathering to look at this new group of heroes "Nothing mysterious about them. They represent the anger part of the emotional spectrum that all lanterns, or at least, your standard lanterns draw from. I suspect with the uncontrollable rage displayed by this one she is a novice or....Atrocitus was indeed killed in Darkseid's attack." she looked at them for a moment.

"We have the only cure for her right here." she gestured to Wren "He is as new as she is however and in our attempt to subdue her a little mistiming resulted in her injuries hence her retreat." the hero shook her head however "Don't underestimate a lantern, even a novice is dangerous. I've fought them on many occasions and they're a tenacious enemy in most cases." she stated though it was weird to be telling to this Professor, or any of them. Had they really never seen them in action? Stranger's century had a lot to deal with when it came to the Lanterns though they often died off and came back...the Legion of Super Heroes often worked with or had to fight the Corps.

She remained friendly however "However yes we were going for a meal. I know some great places!" clearly extending her invitation to the Professor as well.

Ah... more... people? Creatures? ...something. More confusion, really. Still, Stranger did appear to know at least one of them -- the strangest of them, no less, though perhaps he hadn't much room to talk -- but, while he idly listened otherwise, soon enough Wren's ears flicked up a little as the armored figure gestured to him.

"Mm? 'M not really... dangerous..." the young fox muttered for his own part, though at least one ear nonetheless remained flicked up at the thought of a meal. A good one, no less; perhaps not like those he'd wound up managing to forage for the time he'd been on this planet as of yet, primarily in hiding. "Dunno about 'talented' either, really, but um... dunno about anyone else, but I'm pretty ready to eat. And erm... maybe not be in too much of a crowd?" he suggested with a somewhat embarrassed little grin.

The Ooze tilted Its head at the Stranger, curious about the sudden outburst and odd title. "Professor? I assume that you are referring to me?" It asked. It seemed as though the Ooze was thinking before it almost glowed. "I suppose you refer to my work on the Human Immunovirus and following Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome?" The Ooze was excited at the prospect of someone being interested in Its work.

It pondered the idea of the Lantern Corps, taking in this new information. "I should like to learn more of the Emotional Spectrum and the associated corps. As well as of the individuals here. I feel as though there is a greater purpose for our meeting here." It said.

Again It tilted Its head at the idea of eating a meal with the others. "I do not require sustenance as you do, but I can 'consume' by dissolving organic and inorganic matter." It replied. The spinal column inside began to sprout small nubs which formed into more developed bones, creating an endoskeleton before the transparent slime thickened into a skin, the Ooze taking the form of a small blonde woman in very plain clothes.
