The hospital has a decently big yard with a lot of free space, a few trees, and a small garden. There is, however, security cameras on all sides of the building. There are no blind spots with these cameras, and each side of the building has not one but three cameras, one on the second floor two on the first, each of which can see each other. Around the perimeter is a 10' tall hedge wall, that also has a few thorn bushes growing inside and in front of it. Nobody knows what is beyond the hedge wall, even those who just arrived don't seem to remember what happened between leaving the car/van and entering the yard.

Zeke went where he was led, he was still mumbling and looking about, watching that man who stole his beanie. And looked at Seth and Joshua, "That man, he stole my beanie, it's very important to me. Can you help me get it back?" he asked no one in particular. He was still tapping his head with the heel of his palm as if it a reaction to what happened if he didn't wear his beanie it wouldn't had been stolen but then again if he didn't wear it would make him more agitated since his head is so used to it, whether it's his favorite beanie or one of his old ones that his bandmate saw him wear and gotten an idea should get him a nicer one. It is not that he hasn't washed it but actually along with some of his favorite things, he had them dry cleaned ever so often.

"Mako gave it to me, it's special, I never take it off. And that man grabbed it," he said, started mumbling again, and looking toward the patient.

The man was confused still couldn't understand what happened, suddenly his legs buckled under him and he was on the ground, and thought he found a new plaything to mess with but the beanie he was clutching is gone, he could have sworn he was holding it. And now even the beanie owner is missing too, he couldn't remember his face, probably because he was concentrating more on the beanie on his head than his face mostly, he just knew that beanie meant something to him, otherwise, he wouldn't have fun messing with him. But even that guy is gone. He didn't realize Zeke is just a few meters away being distracted by two other patients so as not for him to come rushing to the thief who grabbed his hat, it would have been terrible if he would spend his time in that room when he was not meant to be there.

Dakota was relieved when she made it to the yard without any issue. Honestly she was tired of seeing these hedges and breathing this air the same as she was tired of looking at the walls of Begonia Falls. Even so, actually being outside was a hell of a lot better than inside the institution.

Gently she squeezed the hat in her hands, going over to side of the building so that she could still see the door. Or more importantly, still see the people flooding out of the doors and into the yard. She was intending to watch for the guy whose hat she had; having every intention to give it back.

When he finally came out the building along with Joshua and a blond guy that she didn’t know; she trotted over to the group. Halfway there the guy collapsed down and some inkling of shock and concern shot through her. Oh god he wasn’t having a panic attack, right? What if he thought she was trying to steal his hat.

More hesitantly she approached them. “Hey,” she called out to Zeke on the ground. “Lose something?” From behind her back she revealed his hat. “I saw that guy messing with you and got pissed off. I wasn’t stealing it.”

Zeke was having a full-blown episode, rocking and whacking the side of his head with the heel of his palm. And some of the patients thought it was a game, also got on to the ground and started imitating him, laughing hysterically as they thought it was a fun new game. He was trying to comfort himself, trying to figure out what to do now.

When he heard a voice, he didn't actually look up, still a loss in his delirium, he only reacted when Dakota produced his beanie. He was so overwhelmed with relief he was teary-eyed.

"Oh, thank you. I thought I have lost this forever, " he said and cradled the hat like it was the most precious thing in the world. He looked at Dakota again, "I didn't know how you grabbed it away from him, he was so tall, I couldn't even jump high enough to reach it. Plus he keeps pushing me." he said, not really realizing he was being actually bullied.

Maximilian adjusted his sunglasses as he made it outside, talking a few steps onto the grass before stopping. He looked around, watching the people pour out into the yard. He would have preferred to be able to go to the gym right away and not stopping until they ripped him off the machines. Like they could. He grinned and placed his hands on his hips, looking extra cocky even for him. But perhaps they could. That Caroline chick or whatever looked really strong. Maybe he NEEDED to go to the gym, to make sure that he wasn't wasting away. He scoffed angrily while glaring at the closest person. Did any of them know how hard it was to look this good? To try and make up for his hideous injury?

He threw a couple of sharp punches in the air, before rolling his shoulders and neck. "I can't wait to get out of here..." He muttered, loud enough for people to hear. Maximilian made sure to stretch properly before he started jogging, moving along the hedges and keeping a steady pace. It felt so much better when he actually got to move around. Now people could focus on his perfect running form, instead of trying to glare at his scar through his shirt. He caught a glance of the people grouping together, one of them being that blonde that had touched him before they went outside. His eyes darkened for the few seconds that he stared at them.

The yard was pretty big, he hadn't quite realized that before. He looked up at the building, already tired of seeing it.

Joshua stepped outside of the building that he'd spent so much of his life in, glancing from side to side, taking in everything around him, breathing in the fresh air, and stepped forward so that he could enjoy the feeling of the cool grass under his bare feet. He turned his head toward the other two that he'd walked outside with, that being Zeke and the blond, and then looked for a moment worried, "Ahh... hey, are you alright?" He took a couple of steps toward him, giving a little gasp as Zeke just suddenly seemed to collapse.

"Should... should we call for someone?" He asked, looking up toward those that were standing there nearby, worried now. It was something that made Joshua's heart start to racing in his chest as he glanced around, wondering if help would arrived.

Much to his surprise it did, but not in the form that he'd expected it to arrive in. Instead of an orderly or the like it was Dakota who came over to help. Not only did she just want to help but she actually produced the very item that he seemed to have had stolen from him. He was suddenly being told that he should apologize to Dakota for his earlier bet, Dakota was the hero today and not the bad guy. An order that had him sighing a bit, wanting to refuse his alter, but he had a point, didn't he?

Instead of all of that he said, "Nice work, Dakota. That was great." He looked down at Zeke he asked, "How are you doing?"

Seth followed Joshua and Zeke out, giving a concerned look to Zeke as he noticed the man growing more and more distressed. "We will absolutely help get it back." He initially replied, but before he could really do anything everything just fell apart all at once. He watched Zeke collapse and looked up at Joshua. "Yeah, we should get someone, I don't know what else to do." He said, but right as he finished speaking he spotted the woman approaching, and before he knew it she solved both problems in one quick go. "Thank you," He paused, recalling the name from Joshua's statement. "Dakota. Saved us all the work of tracking that guy down." He said. He noted that she was the one arguing with Maximilian and figured she must have had a lot of guts if she was going after both Maximilian and the guy who stole Zeke's hat. But then again she was almost as tall as he was.

Once everyone was outside a few orderlies began leading groups in exercises, for those who wished to join. Otherwise, everyone else was free to exercise on their own as long as they were outside and doing some sort of exercise. When Zeke began to talk about being bullied Seth shook his head a little. "You're being bullied, you should be old enough to know that by now, right? Just kick him in the nuts next time, it'll make him leave you alone real quick." He shrugged a little.

Stepping out with the rest of the crowd, Sybil and Caroline joined everyone outside. Sybil seemed a little less afraid of Caroline, but she still looked terrified as she walked through the group of people. The moment she was outside she was about to dart off to the most secluded place she could find when she spotted Zeke falling to the ground. She didn't want to approach him, she wanted to run away, but she couldn't. Her mind started to race, he was clearly having a panic attack, or worse. What if it was a heart attack? Or a strange seizure? What if he was dying? Right now... She didn't want to watch anyone die. Her body began to tense as she actively tried to just turn away and pretend she had seen nothing. She was sure he was fine, she was sure she was overthinking it. But... What if... She couldn't resist the compulsions, even though she was terrified of these people she suddenly darted towards him. She could tell the others were just imitating him.

She rushed over to him and knelt down in the grass beside him. She was just about to start trying to take his vital signs when Dakota handed him his hat and suddenly he was okay. 'His... Hat?... He was missing his hat...' She thought as she slowly started to get up and took a few steps away from the others, trying to calm herself.

Elladine noticed the people grouping up and considered heading over to see what was going on, but opted to avoid it when she noticed something was going wrong over there. As she looked around she did spot Maximilian throwing a few punches before starting to jog. With a bit of a shrug she decided to head in his direction, not really all that phased by his earlier outburst. Once she caught up with him she began jogging beside him, matching his speed. She was pretty athletic herself, so she could rather easily keep up. When he stopped to stare at the group though she paused beside him and glanced over at the others. "What's up? You randomly stopped." She questioned. She did notice Dakota over there, and remembered the two of them had had some sort of altercation. She assumed his attention was on Dakota.

Maximilian wasn't sure if he should feel annoyed or impressed when he suddenly got some company during his little jog. He didn't really like it when people could keep up with him, but then again this just gave him more reason to keep working on his body. Get stronger and faster. At least this person wasn't being overly annoying, like some people around here. So he didn't complain. Her voice snapped him out of his thoughts and made him stop glaring over at the group and the building. "Huh?" He turned around to face her, placing a hand on his hip as he did.

"I just caught a glimpse of something really annoying, that's all." He said with a nonchalant shrug, before resting both hands behind his head, which made his shirt pull up a little and giving a glance of his toned abs. With a click of his tongue, he lowered his arms and crossed them over his chest. "I really shouldn't be here. All the doctors I met before coming here were full of bullshit." It was more than a little obvious that this really pissed him off. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"What's your name?" He opened his eyes slowly, looking at her through his orange sunglasses. "I'm not gonna stay for very long, but I can take the time to learn a few names." Maximilian chuckled, flashing her a confident smile.

Caroline walked out into the yard and took a deep breath of fresh air before looking around. She saw Elladine running with some guy. She also noticed Sybil try to go hide by herself. She walked towards the track. Passing Sybil on her way, and after hooking her arm with hers, dragged her along.

The longer that they seemed to be standing around the more eyes seemed to be falling upon the lot of them, mostly those of the orderlies. Not any sort of attention that Joshua wanted upon him so he looked to the others that he was standing with. First Dakota, then Zeke, and finally Seth before he he said, "We should get moving, even if just a little, so that it doesn't seem as though we aren't doing our exercise." It wasn't so much that he looked forward to exercise but he looked forward to getting the attention of the staff upon him even less.

He took a few steps forward, realizing that he was heading in a similar direction as the loud one, Maximillion, "How to do this?" He mused to himself. Instantly he was told that he should consider making friends with the guy, just so that he didn't have to avoid him anymore. A suggestion that had him sighing, "As though someone like that would want to make friends with us." He didn't seem as though he wanted to be here, heck he might not even be here all that long, so making friends might very well be pointless.

Well, he seemed as though he was distracted with Elladine so maybe he could duck passed them both and continue with his 'intense work out' that was mostly Joshua meandering along the walking path.

She didn’t think it was such a big deal, what she did. Honestly she only got involved because Maximilian upset her, and she was looking for someone less buff than him to take her frustration out on. That person just happened to be a jerk. And now here she was, surrounded by people thanking and praising her work. She felt...appreciated, a very rare thing for her to feel.

Slightly overwhelmed, she didn’t respond immediately. A light dusting of embarrassment colored her cheeks and she scratched at her hair. Not because it itched, but because there was nothing else to do with her hands right now. “Ah, it was nothing. I was looking for some to take my anger out on, and that guy turned out to be it.” She nodded at Zeke’s gratitude, before responding half at him and half to everyone gathered around.

In the corner of her eye, when glancing down, she saw Sybil kneeling down but moving away before doing anything. Weird, but it was good to see that the mousy girl returned unscathed from her encounter with Caroline. Who know how long that would last.

Joshua said they should, at least, act like they were working out and she agreed. Actually she usually liked to work out, but today she really wasn’t dressed for anything intense. “Yeah...um, think I’m gonna go over there by the hedge...” She mumbled, to anyone caring enough to listen. She might go over there and do some jumping jacks or crunches. Or generally just lie in the grass.

"What do you think I was trying to do? I wasn't trying to do a basketball tryout trying to grab for my beanie. But he is bigger and taller than I am." Zeke replied about him standing up to bullies. He shoved the beanie in his pocket he probably wants to do it more gently but he wouldn't want anyone trying to steal it again. His head felt naked he hasn't taken it off since it was given it to him he would have it dry cleaned every once a week. That is how special it is to him now that it was manhandled and went through abuse, he didn't want to wear it he wanted to get it washed and spray that perfume she used to wear, one spray is all it takes every week.

Zeke went with them, followed the stream of people trying to act nonchalant after that incident. He nodded his head when he was asked if he was okay, "I'll be fine. I just thought I will not see my beanie again, it just really is very important to me especially the person who gave it to me." he said.

Breathing method, that is what this one lady in the facility taught him to do, just breath she said, whenever you feel the walls closing around you, just breath. Relax. So he focused on the exercise, blocking all the outside noise while he walks beside the other residents who had tried to help him. Deep breathes, relax and focus on your breathing.

He never thought at first that it would be like this that there would be nice enough people who would come to his aide. Or try to help him. Especially that girl who grabbed his beanie back, he glanced towards her and gave her a shy smile. Then at the one who made a comment that he allowed a bully to get one over him. He just shook his head and bent his head down. He was told by his doctor once after the accident that he probably pick up the vibe from his bandmates, then his family, all their negative energy but Zeke told him that it was all him, he wasn't just ready to let her go yet and the beanie is a sign that he still wants to dwell on her memory and not forget about her or make her just a memory or not a person who was once a part of his life.

Elladine notably looked down at his abs when they were exposed, her face returning to his face when he put his arms down and continued speaking. "I'm Elladine, or Ella for short. And I hate to say it but if you're here, I'd assume you're going to be here for a long while. Can't count how many people I've seen come into this place saying they don't belong here and will be out soon. They never leave." She sighed quietly. "I don't belong here either, I just have a bit of a temper and I can't help but to speak my mind. Some dickhead was harassing me, so I punched him and apparently broke a few of his ribs. Then some other dickhead called and got me sent here, didn't even get a chance to punch that guy. Been here two years. But I do wish ya good luck with trying."

"So, while we're stuck here why not have some fun?" She asked, crossing her arm in a rather confident way just like he did. "It's clear we're both pretty athletic, so how about we see who has more stamina? Dead-sprint around the edge of the yard until someone can't sprint anymore? Loser does whatever the winner says during the next free time?" She suggested, looking up at him with a challenging smirk on her face that was confident that she could win this one.

Sybil, who had been trying to isolate herself again, let out a yelp when she was suddenly grabbed by Caroline and dragged off again. "H-Hey!" She protested, but she couldn't really stop the woman and was dragged along wherever she was going.

Seth nodded in agreement with Joshua, they should at least make it look like they were exercising, or better yet, exercise a little while socializing so that they didn't draw the ire of the orderlies. They didn't seem to bother people who were avoiding the group exercise activities as long as they were doing some sort of exercise on their own. Even just walking around. When Dakota headed over to the hedge and Zeke followed her, Seth turned to follow along. He did notice that Joshua was a little distracted, so he placed a hand on the taller guy's back and sort of guided him over to the hedge on the edge of the yard where Dakota and Zeke had gone.

Once there he began doing a few simple stretches. "I'm Seth by the way, and this is Zeke and Joshua." He introduced the three guys to Dakota. "I don't recall you giving us your name. That or I may have forgotten, I'm here for memory issues after all. Can't remember anything for more than a day or two." He sighed quietly.

Caroline and Sybil arrived to Elladine just as she challenged Maximilian. She laughed at her challenge. "Trying to be a dom, eh Ella? You know you suck at it, I mean you became my sub in like two seconds" Caroline teased, wrapping her arm around Sybil's waist. If Sybil did not pull away, Caroline would reach into her pocket and give Sybil another candy.

So her name was Ella. He glared at her a little when she said that he wouldn't be able to leave. "Well, I'm not like all those other people." Maximilian pulled at his shirt, feeling like the scar was burning. Was it growing? Would she notice? But what she said next made him laugh. "Hey, sometimes you just need to punch a dickhead in the ribs. Nothing wrong with that." His grin was wide as he gave her a look that said that he understood. That's what he did to dickheads as well. Like his last doctor. What a moron.

"Oh, a challenge?" He leaned forward, looking at her from over his sunglasses. This was a good opportunity to show his superiority to all these people. He loved a fun little competition and the prize sounded pretty damn good! There was not a single thought in his mind that made him think he could lose. "I hope you don't mind losing." He winked at her, just as another voice appeared behind him.

He turned around to see Caroline, along with the shy girl from the bus. Maximilian clicked his tongue in annoyance. He suddenly looked more stern than he had just done a moment earlier. "I don't know what the hell you're talking about. But I'm not exactly sub material, so even if that's what Ella had in mind then she would be mistaken." With a big shrug of his shoulders, he adjusted his sunglasses. He wasn't over how Caroline had talked to him earlier.

"Blink three times if you need help escaping." He said to the nervous girl he met on the way here, chuckling a little.

Joshua's debate when it came to having to jog passed Maximillion was cut short as the blond that he had been talking with suddenly put a hand on his back, guiding him away from the path and over to the hedge where some others were gathered. Seth was kind enough to give introductions to the group though some weren't needed for some people. Regardless it was still a kind gesture that made him smile just a bit.

He followed suit behind Seth and set about doing a few simple stretches so it appeared as though he was doing what he hoped would be enough to keep from being noticed. Passed that he looked over at the other three in the group, taking in Zeke especially. He seemed to be doing better now that he had his hat back, that was good. He'd been a bit worried. The hat hat had to be special to Zeke, maybe even some sort of lucky item? So it was good that he had it back in his possession.

It was strange but it looked like she gained some sort of entourage. Because when she started to hoof it over near the hedges, several pairs of footsteps followed behind her. She didn’t mind it, of course, and happily led her harem across the beaten out track. When she came to a place that satisfied her she stopped and sat down in the grass.

Once sitting the blonde soon lied back in the grass, slipping her hands behind her head and bending her knees up. Seth spoke to her and she trailed her eyes over to him “Don’t worry, I didn’t.” She replied to the other blonde, she did a sit up and directed a smile at him when she raised up, before lowering back down. “Believe me, you’re not the only one in this group with memory issues. I know Joshua, but Zeke, Seth, my name’s Dakota McNamara. Not that it matters really,” she mumbled sourly.

Dakota did several more sit ups in rapid succession. One time when she flopped back down her shirt lifted up some revealing a pale but well toned stomach. The fruits of her and Alex, and co’s, healthy lifestyle.

Exercise is not one of Zeke's strongest suit, and he doubts he can really do anything like those guys who are used to doing those kinds of things, living healthy lives. He is an artist, as he chuckled thinking about it, or having an internal conversation with himself. He once commented to one of his bandmates when Elli died, I am like the Taj Mahal, forever changing color because of pollution it's either repair me or demolish me. I am no longer the same without Elli, I might have turned out like this because of her passing. My life is like a series of songs, I had finally reached the crescendo of my ballad.

The memories again that had surfaced about Elli, had him belting a ballad, soft rock love song.

"....I remember so well
the day that you came
into my life
you asked for my name
you have the most beautiful smile
My life started to change
i wake up each day feeling all right
with you right by my side
makes me feel things
will work out just fine
How did you know
I needed someone like you in my life
that there was an empty space in my heart
you came at the right time in my life
I never forget how you brought the sun to shine in my life
and took all the worries and fears that I had
I guess what I'm really trying to say
it's not every day that someone like you comes my way
no words can express how much I love you
How did you know
I needed someone like you in my life
that there was an empty space in my heart
you came at the right time in my life
I never forget how you brought the sun to shine in my life
and took all the worries and fears that I had
I guess what I'm really trying to say
it's not every day that someone like you comes my way
no words can express how much I love you...."

It was quiet and low at first but then he started to forget where he is and let it all out. Some of the orderlies were looking at him at first, not sure what to make out what he was trying to do if singing was his outlet they just stood their ground and just listened. Some of the other patients started to sing with him, mostly making their own lyrics or just clapping and jumping.

It has been so long since he last sang, this song mean so much to him, and when he started singing, it is like he is finally letting Elli go, releasing her, he was clutching at the beanie he gave her, and happy tears started to fall down his face, that he is finally free of the weight in his chest that had kept him from moving on.

Joshua paused in the midst of his feigned exercise program as Zeke started to sing. It was probably the last thing that he expected but it was quite welcome since the man had quite an amazing voice. Turning around he turned his full attention to Zeke, listening to his song, watching him closely, and otherwise found himself enthralled. It had to be some of the best music that they'd had in the place for a while he thought idly.

He heard his alter speak up, commenting on how nice the song was, but at the same was a little worried about Zeke given the manner in which he seemed to be in tears at the other end of the song. They should check up on him or so Joshua was told.

"Huh? Well... no. I'm sure he's fine. I mean he doesn't look hurt exactly." The expression on his face wasn't the same as when he'd lost his hat, it didn't show any sort of the same pain or sadness exactly. So he wasn't as worried for Zeke as his alter was. Instead he decided that an applause was in order and clapped for Zeke to show him that he'd appreciated the song. Giving a smile he said, "Here's to hoping that he shares more of them with us in the future."

Elladine laughed a little as Maximilian agreed with her punching a dickhead. "Exactly! Finally someone that understands. Some people just deserve it, it'll help them learn." She replied with the same grin he had. "And I never lose. I live for challenges, and stamina is my strong suit. That and strength but I feel we'd break something if we tried to spar or arm wrestle." She laughed a little, but she too was interrupted by the sound of someone behind her speaking up. She turned to seee Caroline and Sybil approaching.

Sybil wouldn't pull away at first, and when handed a candy she would pause for a moment, and then happily take the candy and eat it. Remaining quiet as she looked around at the others.

Elladine shook her head and rolled her eyes. "You know I am your dom, so shush you." She brushed the other woman off. "That's why you go for the little fish, the easy to dominate ones. I know I'm the better dom so I take on the tougher challenges and I leave the easy ones for you. Unless I really want them." She stuck her tongue out at Caroline. She then glanced at Sybil. "She take your virginity yet?"

Sybil turned a bright shade of red. "Of course not! She will do no such thing!"

Elladine laughed a little. "Yeah, she will. Give her a little time. You don't have a say in that matter." She warned.

Hearing his offer to help her, Sybil looked up at Maximilian and looked terribly confused. She didn't blink just yet, but she looked a little afraid of Caroline again.

"Oh, you too?" Seth asked Dakota when she brought up having memory issues. "And of course your name matters, I may struggle to remember but the others surely will." He said as he continued doing his stretches, sticking to just the easy ones that could be comfortably done while sitting od laying in the grass. He was remaining quiet and was letting the others talk for the most part. However when Zeke started to sing he became completely silent and just laid in the grass, quietly watching him and listening. He wasn't quite sure what to do about it but he was enjoying the song so he just listened.

When Joshua started clapping at the end of it he joined in, applauding the man. he was pretty talented as far as Seth was concerned. "You okay man?" He asked Zeke when he noticed the tears. "We might have just met but we're all friends, you can talk to us." He offered.
