Roleplay Request & Image Policy

Hi there, just joined - was a little unclear about two things and wanted to ask.

1. The roleplay request thread - are you allowed to post NSFW content in roleplay requests? I notice there's a NSFW roleplay section and a SFW roleplay section. Not sure if there is a NSFW roleplay request area and a SFW roleplay request area.

2. Image policy? I'm basically asking if we're allowed to post images that are meant to serve as "face claims" - I only ask because I haven't really noticed much of that here in comparison to other sites. I typically will post an image of what my character will look like in my roleplay request thread as well as other reference images, i.e. settings, weapons, outfits, vibe-inspo, etc, etc.

That's all, thanks so much!

EDIT: Found the answer to the second question, though that does lead to another, are images allowed in the roleplay request threads?

Thank you.

Regarding Question 1:

It is a thing that happens quite often, though I personally suggest you put it as either a spoiler tagged image with a label or a link to said image. Most people prefer to have the option of whether they want to see or not. (Also if it's NSFW I highly suggest tagging it as such).

Though this is my answer as a user of the site, I can't remember perfectly off the top of my head if there are specific rules related to it.

I think as long as you don't post a real person's naked picture, and they are also not underage, which goes for both anime and real picture, nothing obscene or too graphic. But the other admins can explain the rest.

Question One:
SWF and its requests/roleplay thread sections should remain just that: free of content that could otherwise be offensive. No excessive sexual content, etc. NSFW's requests/roleplay areas however, do allow for mature content.

Question Two:
As Sky stated, art of people over the age of 18 is allowed, but we do not tolerate real life nudity. No exceptions. You may use images in your roleplays and requests, but not if they break any of the rules. If you question if an image breaks the rules, play it safe and just don't post it.

This is the only roleplay request forum I am seeing and there is no distinction between SFW or NSFW, there's only distinctions between gender and sexual orientations. I don't see a roleplay request forum under either of the SFW or NSFW forums. So do all of the roleplay requests go under that one roleplay request forum?

I think it is meant for you to post wisely. You are ONLY requesting, right? I don't think for you to be able to request people to rp a group or one on one topic you would need to put naked pictures or post anything that is not safe for work on there after all these are just requests. This is in front of the home section. It says right there, not to stray in the gray area, meaning, you are requesting an rp or group rp of a particular section, so I doubt you would need to add anything R rated in the request. Unless I am highly confused why are you asking for a distinction in the request section? As Camala said, if you think or you are unsure if you are going to write/post something you might think might get you in trouble, leave it out of it.

There are also banners to remind you what section you are in:

Maybe I'm confused here but I've never been on any RP site where there is not a distinction between the SFW and NSFW request forum. For example, if you are requesting NSFW RP you will probably be outlining NSFW details regardless if it is with images or written content because, remember, NSFW is not limited to images - written content applies as well. What I'm saying is if a writer wants to request a specific smut scene then they should not be doing that in the same area that SFW requests go. There should be a request forum dedicated for SFW RP and one for NSFW RP.

@sky

While I haven’t really looked through the request threads here in ages, as I have a bunch going already, and I typically do not post NSFW images in my own request threads.

Back on Eros at least, it was pretty common for people to include NSFW images in their request threads. If this has changed, and is no longer allowed, it might be worth letting people know.

I am letting them answer that. Because like you said we tend not to include stuff that is explicit in the request thread there are tags but I don't know about writing explicit request in the request section. For me if I am unsure I better not just so I won't get in trouble. But I will wait for M3 or Camala explain it better

Allow me to repeat myself.

Images in your request thread are absolutely fine providing they do not break any of the site rules.

No, the request section actually isn't broken into SFW or NSFW. (Something I thought we had planned but that seems to have fallen through given the severe lack of users asking for a direct SFW request thread). But you can have adult art in your thread. If we didn't allow hentai/sexualized artworks, we'd have removed/banned/whatever a lot more users.

If you post your roleplay in SFW, and it has NSFW content, it will be moved. Repeat offenders will receive punishment.

Contrary to what some uninformed members of the site have tried to say, the original idea behind FD was to not solely be a forum dedicated strictly to erotica. Hence why we have the different areas. However, the rules against underage content (real or hentai) and real nudes have always been present.
