Ookami closed his eyes and relaxed a little as he felt the hand on his head, gentle and caring. Sadly, he didn't have an appetite and shook his head at the thought of food. Ookami felt gross and sticky from all the ointment applied during his treatment and now he was covered in sweat. The wolf wanted to bathe in a river for a minute and get the most of the issues off him and out of his fur before returning to anything else but he couldn't do that here... There was no river to bathe in. For now, he just wanted to lay still for a bit, letting Hitoshi pat his head for a bit and then probably go about his business.

If nothing else, Ookami didn't want to be any more of a burden then he was already. He wanted to just lay there and not be fussed over for some time but he opened his eyes and glanced around, he knew Vailean wasn't here anymore so he just looked towards the TV and stared. It didn't have to be on for him to stare before Ookami once more closed his eyes. For the first time ever, he wished he was human and could properly sit with and talk to Hitoshi... Not be some dog on his couch being a burden.

Hitoshi was surprised that Ookami wasn't hungry since he seemed very food driven. He hums some to himself, debating what to do with a wolf that wasn't hungry. Looking him over, he did recall Amy saying he'd probably need a bath... Fuck, that sounded like a million percent more work than whipping together a meal. He was hungry, though, and wondered if they could kill two birds with one stone. Ookami laid down, seemingly worn out from waking up in a panic and that made some sense to him. "Do you want to get cleaned up?" Hit asks, thinking he can toss a pizza in the oven and go try to hose the dog down. He did have a full bathroom down here so he could get him in the tub and wash him down.

He's never washed a dog before let alone a man beast so he had no clue what to really do. Was human shampoo enough? With a sigh, Hitoshi reaches into his pocket to pull out his smart phone and start researching. He found a simple recipe with apple cider vinegar and dish soap, two things he did have. The vinegar might aggravate the wounds though... Perhaps just a hose down was in order but they'd still do it in the tub where he could get hot water. With a sigh, he sets his phone down and looks over at the dog. No matter what he'd get working on that pizza.

Ookami opened his eyes again at the idea of getting cleaned. But.... he couldn't stand... walking was really hard... and the one human that could lift him wasn't here.... What to do then... The wolf frowned, staring awkwardly at Hitoshi as he thought about it and debated his options before he finally nodded. If Hitoshi could get him even a bit of water, the wolf should be able to take care of the rest, or at least try to. With a sigh, Ookami yawned and pushed himself to sit up again, looking at Hitoshi and smiling gently. He looked at some of the bandages on him and wondered if they should be taken off or if they were alright to go into water.

The wolf reached out an arm and pointed to one of the bandages that wrapped his forearms from the rope burns he'd suffered. These were wounds that would heal quickly and probably in another day or so. The hip was the worst and while Ookami would need to take time to deal with the sprain, that should also be gone in just a couple weeks. Or less if he could manage it. For now he tapped at his arm and wanted to see if his bandages were safe to get wet. There was no other way to get washed other than this.

Hitoshi's brows rose when Ookami agreed to a bath but even as he gets up, he realizes he has no way to lug the beast around. He needed to rest his leg and even going a dozen feet to the bathroom wouldn't help him. "Fuck..." Hit curses again, running a hand over his face as he tries to figure out what to do. To make matters more difficult, Ookami points to his bandage and reminds him that he probably shouldn't get those wet. "Fuck," he repeats softly, not wanting to go check those wounds but the dog clearly needed rinsed off. Amy suggested a bath and he could re-wrap the wounds but her healing gunk wouldn't be there.

Hit isn't thrilled with his solution but he doesn't have a choice. He gets up and goes into the kitchen to get a small bucket and fill it with warm water from the tap. He wasn't going to do the soap because he didn't want to get it in the wounds. But he'd try to at least clean his human half because that much he could work with. Hitoshi really wasn't a dog person... With a sigh, he brings the bucket over to the couch with a wash rag and sets it down. He then quickly goes to get a few towels from the bathroom in case they make a giant mess which is likely.

Coming back, Hitoshi ties his hair up again into a tight little bun and sits down on the couch much closer than before. He dips the rag in the warm water and rolls his sleeves up. This really felt like bathing a toddler... Ugh.. He grits his teeth and starts with the face, scrubbing with purpose.

Ookami was taken aback by the sudden bout of anger from the human. He was the one that had suggested the bath and now he seemed really irritated about it. Ookami blinked at him for a minute and his ears came down before he reached out. He was going to try to reassure the human that it was alright and that they could do this at a different time but Hitoshi got up and stormed off like he was on a mission. It was pretty amazing to watch really but the wolf still felt bad for what was happening

Hitoshi returned with a bucket and a piece of cloth, then hurried off again. The wolf looked out towards where he vanished to and figured maybe moving to the floor was better than his makeshift bed... Sure, they got it wet earlier but Ookami didn't like laying in the water like that, it was so boring and weird. Sadly, as the wolf began to shift, Hitoshi returned with fluffier clothes and placed them down before sitting really close and began scrubbing Ookami's face with the water and cloth rather roughly.

Of course, the wolf couldn't complain but it also wasn't very comfortable. Hitoshi seemed to tolerate the human half of Ookami when he was talking or acting more adult but the moment this human had to play "mom" he got very upset... Was it because he was a male human? Ookami wasn't sure but he could tell Hitoshi didn't like the wolf half of his body. He had seen humans wash up from a well once, he should be able to copy that.

Ookami reached up and took Hitoshi's hand and looked at him before trying to take the scrubbing cloth from him so he could wash at least the important bits, His face, neck and pits. He'd avoid his bandages and if allowed, he might at least wash his tail or ears. He felt the need to do that much.

Hitoshi didn't have a paternal instinct anywhere in his whole body and half the reason cats were preferable was because they could mostly take care of themselves. Then again, if he really thought about it, a cat man would probably have the same difficulties Ookami did. He was just a little perturbed at having to do this sort of task because it wasn't anywhere in his job description. But he's giving it his best shot and he's washing like he'd wash himself, with vigor. He rinses the rag in the bucket and keeps going, just starting to get down the chest when Ookami stops him. He watches him take the rag and get the important parts and Hit sighs, nodding in understanding. Well, at least they knew he could wash himself.

Hit gets out of the way, staying nearby just to watch in case something happened but Ookami did fine on his own. Any spot he had trouble with he stepped in to wash but Hitoshi felt wildly unsure of the wolf parts. Ookami was somewhat like a weird catepillar with how his body moved... Hitoshi surpressed the shudder that came with that thought and often kept his eyes averted. It was all weird and the second he gets somewhat used to the wolf man, the next second he's uncomfortable again.

Once he's thoroughly washed the parts of him that needed it, Hitoshi passes a towel over and then takes the bucket and cloth to dump out in the bathroom. He also washes his own hands before remembering that he should make some food. He hadn't thrown a pizza in so now he figures he can whip up something tasty. After deciding pasta with alfredo and meatballs would do the trick, he finds a little yogurt in his fridge that's plain vanilla. He gets a spoon and brings it over to Ookami before returning to focus on cooking.

Ookami focused more on his human half but when it came to dealing with his wolf half, he cleaned his tail and stomach and chest a bit. He wasn't particularly shy but he knew drawing attention to his wolf half wasn't the best idea.... Not when the human with him was still... unsettled by the wolftuar. Ookami was quick to get himself cleaned up from the weird position he was stuck in and finished by scrubbing his hair and ears clean with the cloth before dropping it back into the bucket of water. The wolf shook his head as if to dry it but it wasn't really wet, maybe just a bit damp from scrubbing with the damp cloth.

Thankfully, no water was splashed anywhere and Ookami felt so much better. He smiled at Hitoshi but could see the man didn't like how.... Bendy the wolf was. Ookami was just naturally flexible and knew that all kinds of creatures were... He wasn't able to bend too far because his skeleton didn't permit it.... Still he frowned and looked away as Hitoshi couldn't fully hide his feelings. Ookami knew the human would never be so rude as to openly admit how strange the Wolftaur's body was but it wasn't like the creature himself wasn't aware.... There wasn't another like him on his planet.

Ookami took the towel and made sure his hair and ears were dry, fluffing them until his hair stood up in all kinds of weird directions. That being said, he didn't mind and was feeling so much better. He'd avoided scrubbing off the ointment so he'd wait until given permission to actually bathe properly. For now, that would do. Hitoshi had returned with a gift for him and Ookami took it and sniffed it over for a bit before putting it on the table and laying back down. He didn't want to sleep right now.

Hitoshi had been in his room and dealing with Ookami for a short time but he knew there were other creatures similar to this in the estate. He often didn't interact with many people in the house in general and the other beast people didn't really need his help with anything. Ookami was a unique experience and perhaps when he was better, Hitoshi could see about taking him around to greet other creatures like him. Healing was the first and foremost concern, however, that and teaching him basic human things. Hitoshi just wanted him to be able to open doors and navigate stairs. He didn't particularly care if he had manners but he needed to know how to take care of his basic needs here because they were all meant for humanoids.

Hitoshi worked on making some nice beef meatballs as he gets pasta going and it takes him about a half hour or so to whip up some lunch. He knows Ookami can't work a fork but maybe chopsticks since they both spoke Japanese? Worth a try. Hit grabs two of each set of utensils he might need and brings two plates of food over. He finds the yogurt left untouched but didn't really mind. Ookami might like to try it again later but it wasn't a big deal. Hitoshi goes to put that away first though so it wouldn't spoil, grabbing some napkins along the way. He sits down on the couch, hunched over the coffee table and using chopsticks to cut a meatball in half and eat some pasta. He does the blow method, of course, and looks over at Ookami.

"Can you use these?" He asks, holding his chopsticks in his hand like he'd hold a pen. It was elegant and made his hand look quite pretty in a strange way.

Ookami laid there on his side, staring out the glass to the yard for a while until Hitoshi returned. He took the previous offering of food and returned it to the kitchen without a fuss about it not being eaten and returned again with a different kind of food. There were two plates and Hitoshi used another utensil type that Ookami recognized this time. Though, just because he knew what they were, didn't mean that he'd ever had the chance to use them. He had practiced with sticks before though so maybe he would be able to do it... Still, he wasn't sure.... For now, the wolf was busy staring at Hitoshi, not responding to his question.

The way Hitoshi held the two small sticks in his hand was quite pretty and he looked like he was painting a picture. The wolf's tail began to wag ever so slowly before he finally snapped out of it and forced himself to sit up again and reached out to grab some chopsticks. He fiddled with it for a while before finally settling on a grasp. His hand wasn't as graceful as Hitoshi's but he was holding it almost properly. He looked more like a child holding the chopsticks but at least he wasn't grabbing it full fist.

Ookami reached out and grabbed the other half of the meatball that Hitoshi already cut and dropped it a couple times before he finally grabbed it and lifted it awkwardly up to Hitoshi's mouth for him to eat it. It was still hot but less so thanks to his fumbling and it already being cut open. Ookami didn't want to eat but he wanted the practice with his hands more.... He was actually living among humans now so he had to start using more of their customs and that meant working with his hands and human parts, not just relying on his wolf half.

Hitoshi stared back at Ookami with a furrowed brow, unsure what this reaction meant. The slow tail wag was also someone confusing because Ookami didn't seem to be listening. He was probably still out of it from all the drugs he's been subjected to. Hit is a little surprised by Ookami just taking the second set of chopsticks without any sort of confirmation he knew what he was doing. Forks were easier but he thought that maybe Ookami knew about chopsticks due to him speaking an Asian language much more fluidly than English. Hitoshi eats a bit more pasta while Ookami fidgets until he reaches over to help guide his hands.

Hit watches the wolf man reach over to his own plate instead of the one meant for Ookami and wrestle with the half meatball. Instead of eating it himself, he raises his hand up for Hit and stares at him like he's insisting. Hitoshi slowly takes the bite before chewing and setting his own chopsticks down. "Aren't you hungry? You seem always hungry," Hitoshi asks, hoping a yes or no question was still in Ookami's wheelhouse. For him to not be hungry was a little worrisome since he was very food motivated prior to Amy's visit. Did she do something more than just slather him in healing salves? Hitoshi was also aware he didn't know how often dogs ate but he assumed three meals like people, right? Especially with the human half.

Ookami was happy that Hitoshi had taken the half meat and he smiled lightly. As much as Ookami loved food and could probably eat until he was sick and still eat, he just didn't want any. He didn't know if it was going to put him to sleep again. Twice, he'd already been put to sleep thanks to food but one of those times had him dealing with his bad night pictures and he was so afraid of that happening again. So, the wolf smiled gently and shook his head in response to the food. He was a horrible liar and he lowered his ears feeling like he wanted to be sick from having lied at all.

The wolf lowered himself and moved away from Hitoshi a bit and laid back down, huffing and bit and waiting to probably be punished for what he had done. Ookami just laid there and stared at the window again, continuing to just hope for something but he felt numb, scared and exhausted emotionally. Who would have thought... a wolf that was so out of it like this. He never believed he could be like this. Food didn't interest him... it scared him.

Hitoshi was a little bothered that Ookami didn't want to eat since he thought most wolfs or dogs or whatever were big fans of food. He must not be feeling well more than he realized and he had no clue how to deal with it. He'd let it go for now but if Ookami didn't eat by dinner then he was going to have to call Amy back. That was the worst case scenario but he kept that to himself. Burdening Ookami with a threat of bringing back a person they both disliked wouldn't get them anywhere. So Hitoshi just nods and continues his meal, giving Ookami space to do what he wanted.

After he's done, the Curator gets up and takes his empty dish and Ookami's full one into the kitchen. He wraps the uneaten plate in plastic and sets it in the fridge because that was all still good. He'd reheat it and eat it himself later before an idea hits him. Ookmai's been forced to fall asleep after eating food. Was that it? He wasn't giving the wolf enough credit to assume he'd come to that conclusion on his own. Hitoshi takes the plate, now much cooler but warm enough, back to the living room, this time with a fork. "Ookami-san, look," he says, making himself a bite and eating it. He was showing him that nothing was wrong with it and he trusted the meal.

"Now do you want it?" He asks, hoping that it's not a stomach bug on top of everything else.

Ookami just laid there spaced out while Hitoshi continued to eat and eventually finished his plate before getting up to leave the room once again. Ookami just remained on his side, bored and distant for the time. He was waiting patiently and kind of hungry for a time but as a wolf, after as much as he'd already eaten, he could easily hold out a few days without food without having to worry about going hungry. Besides, he wasn't going to be moving around much so this was going to be much easier. The wolf knew this human wouldn't allow that though so maybe he could.... well... Hopefully Hitoshi wasn't too worried about Ookami's odd behavior just yet. Oh well, he hadn't figured it out yet.... or so he'd thought.

It didn't take long for Hitoshi to return and to call out to the wolf. Ookami lifted his head and looked towards Hitoshi who had Ookami's plate of food and began digging into it... What the heck was he doing? This seemed like so much more than just alpha training. He was just eating the food prepared for Ookami and the wolf looked confused and irritated.... He just was mixed with emotions and groaned quietly before leaning down to lay down again before what was said next caught his attention. Ookami's ears came up and looked at Hitoshi, just trying to understand what he was thinking... Why he was going through all this. Then it hit him... He knew.

As soon as Ookami realized Hitoshi was trying to show that it wasn't poisoned and he'd figured out why the wolf had been avoiding the food, he felt a new wave of emotions and his ears dropped again, feeling bad for lying and happy that the human was so concerned and trying to right his wrong. Ookami smiled weakly and nodded. He loved food and if it wasn't poison, then he figured it was safe for him.

Hitoshi sighed in relief when Ookami nodded that he was nervous about falling asleep again when he wasn't ready to. His shoulders slump and his eyes close as he sets the plate down and sets the fork on it. He didn't care if Ookami shared his utensil, it was unlikely they shared any communicable germs. "I'm sorry, Ookami-san. I made you sleep so we could help you. I only did it to help you. You needed to sleep, Ookami-san. That's the only way you'll get better," Hitoshi explains as he moves to sit down on the floor with the wolf boy. He picks up the fork and stabs it down in some pasta and then gives the fork over.

"It's not hot, you can have it. Really... I am sorry. You're much smarter than I expected," Hitoshi said with a half smirk, reaching up to pat the poor boy's head. He had to start thinking him of the cunning beast that he was and not a foolish dog. He needed to start researching wolves and their intelligence level. Hitoshi sits there with the wolf dog, pulling his phone out and starting to look into things. Ookami clearly knew some things but struggled with human concepts. His intelligence wasn't that of a human toddler, it was just sideways of an adult human. Truthfully, when he could integrate into the estate society, he'd probably be pretty cunning.

Ookami frowned as Hitoshi started to apologize for putting the wolf to sleep again and the wolf felt a shiver run through his spine and he shook his head. He didn't want to think about his horrible night pictures and he didn't want to sleep. Ookami tried to shake the thoughts and feelings for now to focus on the place that had been offered to him, now without the sleepiness... He really needed to figure out which foods put him to sleep and just focus on those ones. He turned to go for the food when Hitoshi grabbed the pointy spoon and began grabbing a bunch of the edible snakes onto it.

The wolf frowned and wondered if the human was going to take more of his food. He really hated these training techniques where food was presented to him but constantly taken. He was willing to share lots of things but he hated sharing so much of his meals.... Thankfully, this was common among wolves so he'd deal. At least, Hitoshi gave him the full spiky spoon so he could eat it instead and the wolf happily accepted and grabbed it and chomped away at the edible snakes. Ookami blinked at his head was pat, not really understanding much himself. What did Hitoshi even mean by smart? He had learned a lot from humans, enough to be able to speak properly... He had simply been raised by wolves his whole life... but as far as he remembers, he was born a human so he had to learn a lot faster than the pups did because he was so much bigger.

Hitoshi watched Ookami figure out the fork and in truth, any utensil could be a dangerous weapon if used correctly. If Ookami really didn't like where he was, he'd be wise to use a fork or spoon to catch him off guard. But they've established some kind of report here and Hit highly doubted Ookami would willingly hurt his meal ticket. He was glad that they had figured out that food was both the best and most nerve wracking thing for Ookami because he was aware that he slept after eating certain things. He'd have to teach him that those foods were only going to do that when given an extra boost.

For now, he watches Ookami master the fork, if it can be called that, and realizing he's a bit in over his head. He wasn't much a fan of children and he wasn't much a fan of dogs and Ookami was vaguely both. He wasn't sure Vailean wanted to be around them, either, so perhaps he had to branch out and see who knew what in the estate. Amy was of course off limits because she infuriated both of them. But perhaps there was another man or woman who had a hand at teaching. If anything, having two minds struggling with teaching Ookami was better than dealing with it alone.

Ookami continued to eat until there was nothing more he could get with his given utensil and when he couldn't get any more, he fought with it for a few moments before putting the spiky spoon on the table and grabbed the plate, licking it clean. He didn't look for approval this time as he had gotten permission last time and Hitoshi had barely given him a glance so he figured it was alright now. The wolf got some on his nose and chin but wasn't able to lick it away. The wolf was trying to lick his nose but it was pretty high up and he huffed and ignored it for now.

Ookami looked towards Hitoshi now wondering what he was thinking. He seemed really out of it and focused on something but the wolf wasn't sure what it was. He didn't want to reach out or grab his attention if he was busy and he put the plate down gently and returned to just staring out the window. Ookami didn't mind letting things go by while he recovered and as stir crazy as he felt, he knew there was nothing more he could do about it. Hopefully staying still helped him heal faster and then he could get up and stay out of the way. Maybe he would be able to start looking for a way home. For now he had to remain put.

Ookami ate his meal as Hitoshi debated what to do. He needed someone's help but he didn't know anyone off hand who would be the best for this particular situation. They had some anthros running around but he felt that wasn't the same as what Ookami was. It was better than nothing, though, and being alone in his suite for two days really did throw him out of the loop as to what's changed within these walls. Wells didn't call him so he didn't stick his head out. Returning from a long trip usually bought him some free time but he was spending it dealing with this wolf man beast.

Getting up, Hit takes the plate Ookami had finished and takes it into the kitchen before softly saying, "I'll be right back," on his way through the open room. He goes to the front door and toes on his slides, heading out onto the porch and then across the lawn to the real door. Opening it, he peers into the hallway and sees one of the house staff that were exempt from Wells' wandering eye by being useful cleaning people and tells them what he needs. An anthro or someone familiar with centaurs. They'd put his request out into the house and see who showed up.

Feeling like he's at least tried to get more help, Hitoshi returns to the house, toes off his slides, and heads into the house to recline on the couch. It's not like they could do much while Ookami was injured.

Ookami managed to wipe the sauce off his nose and chin and watched as Hitoshi got up, took his plate, and dealt with it. This human was really nice and living here for the whole day and a half that he had been here, it was so different from what he was use to.... Was this human customary practice? He wasn't sure but Hitoshi seemed to be teaching him what was important so it seemed that if he wasn't being taught about it, it probably wasn't important. Ookami didn't feel bad for having Hitoshi doing the dishes or anything because he didn't know anything about it.

As the human got up to go out for a minute, the wolf perked up and watched but didn't move or say anything. His belly was full now so he was feeling much better than earlier. Ookami waited patiently and stared out the window again, enjoying just staring at the grass or the tree for no real reason. He would be patient and try to heal quickly.

The slaves around cleaning turned and got right to the request for some help. They set out and asked a number of slaves until they found someone who had seen a centaur like creature heading down to the cages. They headed down and found Mafuyu, there with an unconscious female sort of just watching her but he left her locked up and headed up to where he was told and knocked on the door. He would be helping with information? That sounded easy. Maybe it could give him some good bonus points towards getting his own room to have his new beautiful toy locked up in. That would be very exciting!!!

It takes about a half hour or so for the staff to find someone and Hitoshi didn't know what to expect when he got up to answer the door. He put on his slides to cross the lawn and opened the door to another half beast. Hitoshi recoils on sight, not familiar with this beast but it must have made itself a home here. He certainly fit the bill about what he was looking for and Hitoshi doesn't have much of a choice. An anthro was his second choice but he would have been more comfortable with one. He still found overwhelming animal features on biped bodies uncomfortable but his comfort didn't matter here.

"Come in," Hitoshis says in his gruff voice, stepping back to make room. Once the beast is inside, he shuts the door and stands there, studying him, wondering if this was as wild as Ookami. "Do you speak human language?" He asks with a straight and stern expression. He wasn't going to babysit two beast boys when he was already struggling with the one. Even though the one before him was more cat-like, he still found himself uncomfortable. How these creatures existed or what their anatomy was like was something he never wanted to consider. Life on the estate didn't cater to his comforts, though.
