I'm starting this thread because I just spent the better part of my weekend playing a porn VN that really impressed me with the depth of characters and degree of choice available. So this thread is for shouting out any kind of porn or erotica that's caught your interest lately.

I like to play VNs and CYOAs and other types of porn games, so I'll start with the top ones that I've encountered:

Our Red String - This is the game I mentioned above. It has two main characters that you alternate between as the story progresses. One is a guy in his mid-twenties, an aspiring writer stuck in a soul-destroying desk job. The other is a girl who dropped out of college so she could work two jobs to help pay her family's medical bills, and she also does some erotic modeling on the side, though her real passion is in music and songwriting. While the game sets up these two protagonists as love interests, it's up to the player whether they actually hook up or not, because there are several other prospects and temptations available for both of them, along with various other challenges that life throws at them.

Being a DIK - The main character is a young guy going into his first year of college. What sets this one apart from all the others with the same premise is a very high production value: well written characters, lots of choices, excellent visuals, and scenes that range from hilarious to hot as fuck.

Acting Lessons - An earlier work from the creator of Being a DIK. It's about a financially-secure guy in his thirties with free time to spare who meets an aspiring actress who's down on her luck and needs a place to stay. It starts off a bit cute, but towards the end it gets really dark, and there are some really powerfully emotional scenes after you've gotten attached to the characters for the whole game. It was a hell of a catharsis after finishing this game.

Female Agent - This one has been plagued by development issues, getting written and rewritten so there are now three separate versions that play very differently. But the premise is really hot and it shows a lot of promise, if the developer can get his shit together. As the title suggests, it's about a female intelligence officer from one of the Five Eyes countries (you can select which one), who is given a mission to infiltrate a Bangkok brothel in order to nail an international terrorist who is known to go there frequently. The first version of this game covered some training missions that involved getting herself accustomed to working as a whore and a stripper. The second version redid the graphics and code framework, but it got bogged down in the agent's life history. The third and current version jumps straight to the mission briefing and preparation, with a side quest taken from the first version, where you try to hack a guy's phone by letting him take you on a date, with the possibility of it getting really spicy.

Spiritbound - It's one of those turn-based tactical RPGs with movement on a map during combat. It takes place in some kind of primitive swamp-jungle setting, where the main character is a female treasure hunter who is saved from death by an ancient spirit that guards the treasure she stole. In exchange for her life, she is made into the spirit's guardian, and sent on a quest to serve the spirit's interests in the world. There's not a whole lot of sex in this game, but I found it very fun going around exploring a game world full of dangerous swamp creatures and perverted pygmies.

Newlife - An M2F transformation game in Java where the main character is transformed right at the beginning and then has to adjust to life as a woman. It started out as just a clubbing hook-up simulator, but it's expanded over the years to include many aspects of life (gym, dancing, cooking, office politics, relationships and cheating, sexy party games, and random lewd situations). The NPCs are randomly generated, so it has tons of replay value, as you never know what sort of people you're going to meet on any given playthrough.

Degrees of Lewdity - Main character is an orphan of selectable gender in his/her senior year of high school, who starts getting extorted for money by the manager of the orphanage. Thus, the game quickly revolves around making money fast enough to keep the boss happy so that he doesn't sell you into slavery (or you can develop your fighting skills, or find another place to live, as alternatives). The other half of the game is that just about everyone on the street is trying to rape you, and the more attractive you look, the more likely you'll get randomly attacked, although if it's in a public place during daylight hours you can always scream for help and be saved. Alleyways or at night, you're fucked, unless you can fight. With those two constraints in mind, the game is pretty flexible about how you want to play. You can develop three types of fetishes (promiscuity, exhibitionism, and deviance) to gain the courage to do crazy things like getting into gangbangs, or running around naked in public, or fooling around with animals and tentacle monsters. So things can get really perverted if you seek those activities out.

Lilith's Throne - Another free roaming game, although this one is pretty heavy on furries. But it's also customizable in that you can adjust the settings so that only humans spawn as random NPCs, or whatever mix of furry/scaly/demon races (and genders) you want (unfortunately the scripted NPCs are fixed as furries). In any case, the main character is whatever age, sex, background, and appearance you select at the beginning, and then you can transform further into anything else you want. The main plot is kind of silly and cartoonish, but there's so much opportunity for randomized sex that it doesn't really matter too much if the plot doesn't make sense, because there's always something you can fap to.

Karlsson's Gambit - A femdom game with alternating male and female protagonists. It takes place in a dystopian future where a massive corporation called the Karlsson Group pretty much rules the world while the majority of the human population are no more than wage slaves. The male protagonist starts off in prison, being kicked around by female guards, until he's given an offer by a representative of the Karlsson Group to take part in some kind of game they're running where prisoners compete for a chance to earn a high-ranking position in the corporation. The female protagonist is this guy's sister, who is drawn into it when she's offered a position to oversee the game. It becomes apparent soon enough that the importance of the main characters is that they are bastards of the Karlsson Group's president/CEO, who just recently died without a clear successor among his four bitchy daughters. In his will, he left instructions that they find the male protagonist and test the shit out of him to see if he's worthy to inherit the company.

Defending Lydia Collier - The main character in this one is a middle-aged male lawyer who is hired by a wealthy widow accused of killing her husband. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that there are some really shady things going on that make the murder appear to be more a case of corporate espionage. Alongside the main plot, what attracts me is how thoroughly British it is, from watching footy at the pub, to playing rugby on weekends, to meeting old friends at a fry-up joint. It's definitely my cup of tea.

Starship Inanna - A star trek style of sci-fi about exploring a distant corner of the galaxy after a weird space event warped your ship to an unknown sector. The main character is the ship's second-in-command. You can select male or female, but the game is mostly designed around a male character, with the female having mostly lesbian encounters. Most crew members are female, because of the peculiar political situation of the game setting, which of course sets up harem possibilities for a male MC. But what really attracted me to this game was the writing for the characters, which I thought was very well done and makes them feel very real.

Sorcerer - A mostly-linear VN about a guy in his late 30s who makes millions as a high-risk courier, but then he has an encounter with a woman from a Japanese sorcerer clan, and she introduces him to a whole unseen world of magic and monsters living parallel to the default world that ordinary people see (almost like Men In Black). It ends up following the pattern of a chosen one hero discovering his own magical powers and building a harem of hot chicks, but what stood out to me about this particular game was the fact that the main character is seriously a good person. In so many of these harem games, the main character is some kind of creep or psychopath, but in this one, he's a high-functioning good guy who's trying to make the best of a dangerous situation he's been thrown into, and that makes him very likeable from my perspective. There aren't a whole lot of choices in this game, but the ones you get matter a lot, and there's also quite a lot of content so far, which took me several days to get through.

I'll probably list more later, but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment.

Luna's Fall From Grace - Protagonist is the daughter of a mafia hitman who died some years ago. After the death of the old godfather who was protecting her, the new mafia boss wants to use her to settle a debt, by corrupting her into a whore. The game lacks polish, and can be a bit over the top, as Russian porn VNs usually are, but it's got some hot situations, and full freedom to be badass or submissive, heroic or selfish.

Where The Heart Is - The main character is a young guy who had been living with his father and stepmom after his mother died long ago. But when his father dies, the stepmom kicks him out, and he's taken in by one of his mom's old friends, who lives with her two daughters. That part is very cliché of course, but this game goes into a lot of detail with the personalities and lives of each character, and it's very enjoyable to interact with them. And there are many different dating options outside of the starting three as the game progresses and you encounter new people.

Strange Times At Schoman High - An M2F twine game in a modern world of secret witches and magic, where a magical accident turns the main character into a girl for a week. It's early in development, but it looks very promising with the range of options available so far, and the direction each of the plot threads are going.

Descent - This game has been around for a while, but it's a good one, and it's complete (which is rare). It's about a female intern trying to score a permanent position within a prestigious law firm against tough competition, and having to shed her dignity little by little in order to keep her job.

Project Myriam - A game from a perverted Frenchman, about a housewife who gets into all kinds of lewd situations. This one stands out in my mind because it doesn't waste time getting to the good stuff, but it also treats the characters as real people with believable motivations. So it walks the balance well between art and smut, in my opinion.

Nothing Is Forever - The main character (male) is a shrink who got fired for fucking a client or something, and has spent the last year mentally torturing himself and trying to rebuild his life in the face of crippling self-doubt. The writing is pretty smart, and the characters seem pretty real. But on top of that, this game has a system where each choice you make contributes points toward one of four personality types, and then you can spend those points to acquire traits or kinks or whatever which open up different content, so it feels like you have a bit more control over the main character, rather than the typical mechanic of VNs just gating things off if you didn't make enough "correct" choices.

Manila Shaw - This game has been around for a while, I don't know why I didn't mention it yet. It's in RPGMaker, with 3D renders for sex scenes. The protagonist is a female police officer in a corrupt city, but it's more over-the-top grindhouse exploitation than anything truly gritty. And the usual goofy "Russian Porn" tropes are all over this one. The protagonist gets into regular fights with criminals, which only escalates in intensity as the game progresses, from fistfights with drug dealers, to shootouts with a mafia gangsters, eventually involving magic kung fu powers and killer robots. If you don't grab every opportunity to gain XP (both from winning fights and completing side quests), you'll end up losing fight after fight and having to restart. The fights of course can be made easier if you allow yourself a bit of corruption: taking bribes, not paying rent, stealing seized drugs, moonlighting as a stripper, etc.

Chasing Sunsets - It's mostly linear, where at the beginning the choices are few and far between, but later in the game the choices start to have a big impact on the kind of ending you get. That aside, it's a compelling story to read through, if you're going to do at least a single playthrough. It's about a rich kid who feels alienated from his family and goes on a long Rumspringa around the world until the unexpected death of his parents brings him home, where he has to make peace with his estranged step-sister in the context of settling the inheritance. All of the sex scenes in this game feel very meaningful and well-crafted, so they got my full attention when playing through them.

Leap of Faith - The best way I can describe it is that it's a Chad simulator. It's a Ren'Py VN like all the others, where you play a good-looking single guy coming off a bad breakup, who goes out again and starts meeting girls and juggling relationships. In this case the visuals are quite nice and the characters are interesting, if a bit screwed up in some cases. It was interesting enough to make me spend most of my Sunday playing it, anyway, and I'm only halfway through.

Have you tried out Man of the House? That was my first of those kinds of games. Though my favorite is absolutely Being a DIK and I'm hyped for season 2.

Being a DIK is everyone's favourite, hehe.

Man of the House, the name sounds familiar, I probably saw it listed but I might have skipped over it because it sounded too incesty. So many of those types of games have a 'virgin rapist MC' (as one commenter put it) that I've become very wary about what I download (although I admit half the fun of browsing these sites is seeing people flipping out in the comments, especially on the NTR games, it's hilarious).

No incest in that one though, it's more of the step-sister kind of stuff, and that's only a part of it. For me, it was a great thing to play before playing Being a DIK, because I got a good start, and afterwards I got something even better.

Oh, I see. The old step-*/"Landlady" trick so they don't get kicked off of Patreon (Everyone should really just switch to Subscribestar). Seems worth a shot, though. Maybe it was the download size that stopped me from playing it before.

If you play it, do let me know what you think of it... And if you have any recommendations for what I could play that is similar to it.

Not too thrilled about it having its own installer. Unity games shouldn't require one, and installers always make me worry that there's some malware bound up in it. But anyways, yeah, I know this type of game. I've seen tons of them follow this pattern, although this one has a lot of fancy features to it that are nice. But the gameplay format isn't my cup of tea. Too much dicking around searching for new content while the same basic events repeat over and over.

I don't remember most of the knock-off games I played of the same format, because they were usually shit. The only good ones that come to mind right now are Mythic Manor, where the girls are all monstergirls, and this other one, Callisto, where you're the captain of a space courier ship, with an all-female crew. There was also another one where your dad is an undercover cop infiltrating a mafia gang, which wasn't too bad, but I can't remember the name of it. And there's another one that takes place on a yacht, but I don't remember the name of that one either.

Also there's one called School, Love, and Friends, which isn't terrible, but I couldn't get over the fact that the main character has this stupid redneck bowl haircut that makes him look like an amalgam of Dylan Roof and Adam Lanza. I kept expecting him to randomly start shooting up the school, but instead all he wants to do is fuck his sister (redneck is as redneck does).

Going Rogue - This game has two male protagonists: An undercover cop, and a mole inside the force. So it's pretty much Infernal Affairs, but with white people. So... The Departed, I guess, but they're not Irish either. Anyways, it seems pretty well made, with some nice references to Chinese fentanyl (crossed with the effects of meth to make a drug called V, which has got to be inspired by Max Payne), and throwing in a photo of martial law in Hong Kong. I definitely dig. I named my protagonists Tony Leung and Andy Lau. Oh yeah, and instead of SP Wong we have a smoking hot blonde...

...she promises the assignment will only be for one year, and in my mind I was already imagining Tony Leung on the rooftop shouting, "Sān nián duì sān nián!" (I think that's what he said, I had to use google translate... THREE YEARS AFTER THREE YEARS!) *waggles finger*

Here are two games in the ENF category (embarrassed naked female):

Casey's Fall - A ren'py VN where a British girl in her senior year of high school is blackmailed into exposing herself in progressively more risky ways. There are not that many choices, although it branches a fair bit from the choices that do exist. The plot is thin, with the anonymous blackmailer being really just an excuse to put the protagonist into various lewd situations, but the scenes are hot and the visuals are good, so I like it.

Roshutsu - A Jap game in Unity about streaking at night, kind of like Naked Order, but at this point it's only a sandbox game with no clear objectives. 3D graphics are crude, but at least it means I'm able to render them on my ancient computer without too much loss of frame rate. Otherwise it's a fun little stealth game as you try to run around without getting caught (which is not difficult, as the NPCs are just as short-sighted and forgetful as Metal Gear bad guys). Game is kind of buggy when it comes to clipping, as it's very easy to get stuck if you try to squeeze through too tight a space. Also, going up stairs is finnicky, as the game wants to keep dropping you back down if you aren't positioned/angled correctly. But these things aren't game-breaking, considering it's only an alpha build.

Slightly related to the above:

SlutED - A white trash girl (the protagonist) ends up in the witness protection program because of a mafia murder, and she's sent to a high school in a new city, but on her first day some piece of shit scumbag steals her phone and cracks it, and he finds on it a text message that reveals her true identity. Naturally, he blackmails her into becoming his sex slave. Because it's the current year. For a game based in HTML, it's very well polished, with a clothing system that shows what you're wearing, and different places in the city to explore.
